Spam Fried Rice
Either love it or hate it. We Lust it
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 2 Large Eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 Garlic Cloves, finely minced
- 1 Tbsp Ginger, finely minced
- 1 Small Shallot, finely chopped
- 1 Cup Spam, cut into ½ “ x ½ “ cubes
- 2 Tbsp Umé by FlavurLust
- 3 Cups Cooked Jasmine Rice
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- ½ Tbsp Fish Sauce
- ¼ Tsp Sesame Oil
- ¼ Cup Green Onion, finely sliced
Method
- In a large pan, heat ½ the oil over medium high heat. Add the lightly beaten egg and cook scrambled just until it comes together. Don’t overcook it! Remove and reserve
- Add the rest of the oil and add the ginger, garlic, shallot and spam. Fry for 1-2 minutes or until the spam starts browning and the vegetables start softening
- Add the Umé by FlavurLust and continue to cook for 1-2 minutes
- Turn the heat to high and add the rice. Mix and incorporate the rice with the spam mixture stirring every so often to prevent burning
- Add the soy sauce, sesame oil and fish sauce and mix with the rice.
- Turn off the heat and add the egg and green onions. Gently incorporate
