Spiced Grilled Street Corn

By Nicholo Plaza

A must have on any Mexican street, the elote. Whole corn on the cob is grilled and slathered with creamy sauce. In our version we spiked ours  with Umé by FlavurLust for that extra something something

  • 4 Ears of Corn, shucked
  • 4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 3 Tbsp Umé by FlavurLust
  • ½ Cup Mexican Crema or Sour Cream
  • 1 Clove Garlic, finely grated
  • ¼ Cup Mexican Cotija Cheese or feta cheese
  • ¼ Cup Cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 Lime, cut into 4

  1. Preheat a grill and oil the grate
  2. Mix Umé by FlavurLust with the crema, garlic and cilantro
  3. Brush the corn with the unsalted butter and place over the grill cooking and rotating until the corn gets nice and juicy. Make sure to get some nice charring action. This will take total of 8-10 minutes
  4. Remove the corn and brush the sauce all over
  5. Sprinkle the crumbled Cojita cheese all over the corn and serve with lime wedges
